The two sides made exchanges on scientific and technological advances and innovations.

Stressing the great importance of technological innovation in promoting social development, Wan said that transforming the traditional auto industry and developing AI-supported new energy cars and self-driving cars will be a highlight of future scientific and technological innovation.
Wan applauded that Michelin, as a tire manufacturer, excels in industry service supply and technological innovation, and he believed that Michelin will play a more important role in innovating auto technologies.
Wan expressed the hope for Michelin to strengthen cooperation with China’s auto technology companies, national societies and industry associations to jointly blaze a new trail for China’s auto industry.
Yves Chapot thanked Wan for his continued support for Michelin and said he agreed with what Wan had said. He introduced Michelin’s forays into new businesses amid the globalization efforts of companies worldwide.
Chapot said Michelin is willing to deepen cooperation with China’s science and technology organizations to seek common development.
He also invited Wan to attend the 2019 Michelin Movin’on activity to be held in Canada in June 2019.
President of Michelin China Bruno de Feraudy, senior VP of Michelin China Wang Zhaohua and deputy director of International Affairs of CAST Wang Qinglin also attended the meeting.
